As part of my medical qigong work, I am looking for 5 women willing and able to commit to a 6-month long study with me.
The Study:
The study is to examine the efficacy of medical qigong treatments combined with flower essences in order to assist women who experienced trauma during their formative years. The study recognizes that women who have invested significant time and effort into their own healing frequently still encounter emotional/psychological patterns that hold them back in their spiritual goals.
The goal of the study is to determine whether medical qigong and subtle energy medicines are efficacious in providing further treatment in liberating women from old emotional-mental patterns that hold them back in the present.
Patients will meet with me once per week for a one-hour long medical qigong session, ingest recommended First Light tree, fern and seed flower essences, journal and discuss their progress with me over a period of 6 months. The information will be captured anonymously as case studies as part of my personal work as a medical qigong practitioner.
My goal as I develop my career as a practitioner is to develop a healing modality specifically tailored to support advanced spiritual women practitioners in achieving their utmost freedom from past traumatic events. It is important to me to create a treatment methodology that is gentle and subtle, to meet the needs of women practitioners with sensitivity. This study is a step toward that goal. For that reason, the goal of this study is not to bring participants too deeply into any one emotion/memory, and to avoid reaching the point at which an individual can become overwhelmed and/or destabilized.
Many times during my own healing journey, when I reached out for support, I often found practitioners of various modalities were not skilled enough to meet my needs. Either they didn’t have the past experience themselves to truly understand what I’d been through, or their methodology wasn’t effective for me, or their treatment plan was far too forceful and left me in a worse place than when I entered their office. For this reason, I am seeking to create a gentle, subtle methodology that can be individually paced – one that recognizes the participant’s power in leading and guiding their own work. Women who choose to participate in this study may do as much or as little as they like, set the pace as it best works for them, and are encouraged to remain empowered as the directors of their own healing throughout the study.
Requirements:
Participants must be women in their 30s-50s, not currently taking allopathic medications, who have already made a determined effort over time to seek out healing modalities to overcome past experiences of victimization, and who feel that there are still negative effects in their present lives that they consider to be a direct result of the emotional residue of past events.
Participants must be willing and able to commit to meeting with me for one hour once a week, journaling daily, taking subtle energy medicines weekly, and discussing their process openly.
There will be a long interview process to determine which participants are appropriate for this study. Participants need to be self-motivated individuals who have done significant healing work over at least 10 years (in multiple modalities), have supportive and healthy relationships around them, have no addictions, and have a dedicated spiritual practice of some kind (yoga, meditation, qigong, etc.)
Women currently on medications for mental or emotional distress, women who are in unstable and/or distressing life situations or personal relationships, and women who are just delving into work of this nature for the first time are not suited for this particular study and are encouraged to seek support through other avenues.
Methodologies:
Medical qigong, homeopathic remedies, and First Light Flower Essences of New Zealand will be used. Massage, cupping, moxabustion and assigned meditations/energetic exercises may also be used.
Cost:
Patients do not have to pay for medical qigong treatments with me. Patients need to be able to cover the cost of the flower essences and homeopathic remedies assigned (will range between $30-60 for the 6-month period). Patients will need to purchase a journal or 3-ring notebook for documenting their process.
