Acupuncture: new
wellness trends?
You are a visitor of my blog and want to learn more about acupuncture, so please read this short presentation.
Acupuncture helps the body to heal naturally and improve functioning by relieving pain and suffering. It is traditional medicine of the Chinese and began in China more than 5,000 years ago. Today, acupuncture is one of the most popular forms of alternative therapies. Each year people spend more than $500 million on acupuncture therapy.
Acupuncture is based on the idea that we all have an invisible energy that moves in the body through twelve energy lines, or meridians. Each line is connected to a different organ system and it is believed that any disturbance in this flow creates disease.
Acupuncture is the process of inserting needles into certain points on the meridian lines. There are over 1,000 points on the body that can be used to bring back the balance in the body. The use of needles for acupuncture was considered experimental by the FDA (see
., but in 1997 it was declared a medical device.
Just some of the conditions treated by acupuncture are the common cold, tennis elbow, arthritis, migraines, asthma, back pain weight loss and infertility. Many people will use acupuncture therapy as a preventative medicine and see an acupuncturist anywhere from two to four times a year. This can sometimes prevent disease, improve health and increase overall energy.
There are many benefits to acupuncture:
1. Increases strength and energy.
2. Enhances the immune system.
3. Rids body of pain.
4. Quickens recovery time of illness.
5. Reduce stress levels.
6. Improves circulation in the body.
7. Preventative medication.
If you follow a diet like the german diet "
kohlenhydratarm", acupuncture can be a good complement
