Brittany Harris Herb Sample Kit for Sale - $60

I have the standard herb sample kit that's required for the Oriental Herbology classes. This is a great deal, everything is in tact, and it also has many herb samples that weren't included in the original. Lana sells these extra samples during class, but I've added most of these to the kit already when I took the class so you won't have to deal with that. I'm asking for $60, email me at whirledwidepeas@gmail.com if you're interested. Thanks! Continue

Tatyana Ryevzina Now is the time to have your voice heard about the First Professional Doctorate

Hello colleagues and students, I would like to draw everyone's attention to a matter that affects our profession, and more importantly, our patients. The ACAOM is taking steps to determine whether there is a consensus among the profession for a first-professional doctorate (FPD) as an entry-level professional degree for TCM practitioners. If the ACAOM determines that there is a consensus, they then plan to petition the USDE to develop a pilot-program FPD. If our profession adopts a FPD, this w… Continue

Elinore Schafer free books and cards

Hi all, I am moving and from the cobwebs of my bookshelf I have some books and cards someone might like. TCM Study Guide Series by Shin Cun Wu, the Acupuncture and Diagnostics books. Just a bunch of tests and some of the answers are wacky and probably wrong. Probably only good to practice testing. Probably better for Nationals. I also have Living Earth Point Cards with writing on them, good for studying for point location. I may have other things, just ask. Continue

NYTIMES Article: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/04/science/04angier.html?_r=1&em By NATALIE ANGIER Published: August 3, 2009 As a confirmed crab apple who has often been compared to the splenetic Lucy Van Pelt character from Peanuts, I am gratified to learn that should my real spleen ever decide to vent in earnest, the outburst may just help save my life. Scientists have discovered that the spleen, long consigned to the B-list of abdominal organs and known as much for its metaphoric as it… Continue

World Acupuncture Japanese Acupuncture and the fine art of Rice Grain Moxibustion

Welcome, I'm writing this post on a pristine winters morning at Rainbow Bay on the Gold Coast, Australia. I traveled south seeking surf on the weekend and was fortunate enough to pick up a few relatively deserted waves at Broomes Head on Sunday and followed that up with a few quiet ones on the south side of Cabarita, small but sheltered from the prevailing northerly winds as I returned home on Monday afternoon. I never cease to be grateful to live where I live, at one of the prime wave locati… Continue
