Thinking about acupuncture school? So are we! You can meet other people looking to start acupuncture school, compare your experiences, get answers to your questions, and talk about what's on your mind.

Hey Paul, I think Marcelo answered your questions well, but I'd like to add some additional insight. Before I begin you should know that I am the Dean of Student Affairs, so I am not without bias. Related to your first question about pass rate. ...

Believe me....the full time students at AIMC are beyond stressed. The difference is that the school probably cuts it's students more slack for the purpose of keeping it's students healthy. There's no reason for making your medical students sick wi...

From the comments I've been reading from people, AIMC seems to have more of a focus on clinic hours. And I seem to be reading alot about actcm running it's students through a great deal of stress with constant exams with harsh penalties. Thank you...

Passing the board and becoming a good practitioner are two very different things. AIMC seems committed to walking the fine line between test prep and teaching you to be the best practitioner possible. This approach may result in a lower pass rate ...

Bridging the Real World and the Online World

I believe the next wave in online social networking is to use these tools to build bridges between the real world and the online world. For example I created a social network devoted to Colfax Avenue in order to have people discover each other online and come together for outings along Colfax Avenue in Denver, Colorado. The Acupuncture Channel is similarly intended to enhance real-world interactions for people studying and practicing acupuncture.

The "Click Fwd To See What Happens" Meme spreads through Facebook

This little fish could be the thing that brings Facebook down to its knees. It's a little social engineered virus that's spreading through Facebook via Slide Networks Funwall Application. If you click forward like it says, it just replicates itself to ALL. YOUR. FRIENDS.

It's terri… Continue

Thanks for the welcome! I'm excited to finally apply my degree in a way that has some heart, and not just exploiting the exchange rate to the Chinese economy, like virtually every one of my classmates these last 4 years!

Taj,

Thanks for the tip on SEO optimization. I'm a novice when it comes to this stuff, so your help is appreciated. Somehow my blog has made it to #2 on Google with the search terms "healthy skeptic" - through no help of my own, clearly!

Christ, I understand your surprise and have removed the picture you mentioned. While I do not happen to be the one who used the photo as the group avatar (this group has more than one administrator), I do believe it was used with the best intentions. Nevertheless, your concern is valid. I will make sure that any picture the group uses is vetted in the future.

peace taj,
i just noticed that my son kaya is pictured on the diversity committee photo. i did not give permission for this photo to be used. it would be great if you could at the very least notify me that my underage child is going to used in a token photo for a group i am not a part of. i trust that the intentions were pure but it was a bit startling. the web is a powerful tool and i want to ensure the safety of my kids. thanks for understanding.
be well,
christ

I was going to study with Pitchford at Heartwood this summer, but then I decided to apply to AIMC instead.

I'm a Yo San kid down in Los Angeles, thanks for asking! It's interesting to me that you are in Denver as that is one of the 3 places I'm looking to settle into once my boards and ortho classes are wrapped up here...I may want to pick your brain a little sometime, if that would be ok.
