I live in a lovely place and I want more good people to move to Mt. Veeder. Two cabins have opened up on the land. One is a very large studio side with deck going for under $775, and the other is a small studio like cabin with a large deck going f...

Hi, I'm so sorry. You sent me your phone number about the cards, and I misplaced it. Can you please be so kind as to let me know if the cards are still available? I would like to purchase them if I can get them by this weekend. Thank you again. ...

Fabulous, that's great! Thanks Renee, and I'll count you in! I'll likely be sending out an email to committee people toward the end of August to arrange our first meeting time.

Hi Renee,
I'm planning on starting up Library Committee meetings again in September and I want to see if you are still interested in participating as one of two student members? It would be fantastic to have you on board. Mahate

PS.. If you want to bring my note to the meeting to help students feel comfortable coming in and talking with me about library related things, or to inspire further conversation regarding the issues we've discussed, please feel free. Also my email address is listed on the library door for anyone wanting to reach me via email.

Hi Renee,

No offense taken at all! It's wonderful when students care enough to take action. I just wanted to respond to the ideas you presented, as well as make sure you and other students know that I welcome ideas and suggestions wholeheartedly, and am eager to use student input to make the library as useful as possible for everyone. I'll look forward to our meeting, and I'd love to have someone as dedicated to proactive transformation as you clearly are on the library committee. I'll make sure to contact you when we resume the meetings. I am here Monday through Thursday, so hopefully I'll see you on one of those days!

Thanks, Mahate

As a confirmed crab apple who has often been compared to the splenetic Lucy Van Pelt character from Peanuts, I am gratified to learn that should my real spleen ever decide to vent in earnest, the outburst may just help save my life.

Scientists have discovered that the spleen, long consigned to the B-list of abdominal organs and known as much for its metaphoric as it… Continue
