Acupuncture education/license level:

My acupuncture story:
I started down this path about five years ago, while learning the first set of Dayan Qigong. Both the form and the warm-ups peaked my interest in the meridians and points of the body. In 2004 I began to study acupressure massage at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley. In 2006 I became nationally certified in Asian Bodywork Therapies by the NCCAOM and began work as an Acupuncturist's Assistant in a holistic health office in San Rafael.

In the Fall of 2007 I returned to school full time to finish my transfer classes for the masters program. I recently finished 1,000 hours of training at the Acupressure Institute, including teacher training for their basic program. My specialty is Tui Na, and I use cupping, moxa and liniments in my practice. I share an office space on University Ave. in Berkeley on weekends.
My favorite modality:
Tui Na
About Me:
I'm a fire-dragon, who grew up mostly in the mid-west. I've been living in Cali since 2002 and in rockridge since 2004.

In 2000 I graduated from the University of minnesota with an bachelors in biosystems and agricultural engineering . After graduation I spent a month visiting my grandfather in New Jersey and then moved to Colorado for the next two years. I spent time snowboarding and began canvassing and fund raising for environmental and public interest groups for the next few years.

Shane is right - these are nice for sticking on a needle end. Another great use is for them is in a moxa box. The box has mesh screens to prevent ash from falling on your patient, and sits on the low back/abdomen of said patient. It's great for l...
