I feel like Archie and I have been picked up by a tornado! His chemo doc just called and set him up for a P.E.T. scan in Sacramento for Tuesday. He has a mark up tomorrow for radiation therapy after his dental appointment where he is getting a metal filling replaced so it won't interfere with the radiation. The dentist will also be taking impressions for his fluoride trays to protect his teeth during the radiation. At least they stopped talking about cutting his tongue out!! And he gets to keep his teeth! Usually they have to pull all of them if the primary tumor is closer to the tip of his tongue. Thursday is his appointment with you and Friday he sees the speech pathologist to give him exercises so he won't forget how to swollow! Monday he has another appointment with chemo to discuss the cisplatin and he is on a trial for hopefully erbitux!! Are you dizzy yet? I sure am! I am working with Suzanne Friedman on the holistic oncology and David Caruso-Radin is helping me with nutrition. I spoke to Glen also. If we all work together we should be able to cure him without too much damage. He can bring in his herb packet on Thursday so you can look and see what is in it. The site of the tiny Thanks!

Hello August, We just got back from the doc at Travis and he said 85% chance we are dealing with a squamous cell carcinoma. The two options once the diagnosis is confirmed were cutting which would leave Archie with an inability to speak and removal of the lymph nodes involved and a muscle in his neck as well as the jugular vein on the left side....not an option....and radiation and chemo.....also, not a really good option but a smidge better than the first. I have started a full regimin of vitamins to beef up his immune system and we are changing his diet to low fat, organic, high in vegies and leggumes. Any other suggestions? I am also taking him to see Henry in China Town. We'll pick up a moxa stick then also. I think he should be seen next week also on a day when I can come with him and you can show me how to moxa. You also saw my good friend Scott Balestreri. Thanks for your help!

Hi! The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine. There is a copy in the Library in the reference section. It looks like Nourishing Destiny but is red instead of black. Talk or write if you need more info.-M

That shot was taken over last Summer at my good friend's home of Michael and Edgar by Edgar. Wish I could remember the book I basically ripped through it...............
