I live in a lovely place and I want more good people to move to Mt. Veeder. Two cabins have opened up on the land. One is a very large studio side with deck going for under $775, and the other is a small studio like cabin with a large deck going for $700 (i think). The former has electric heating and the latter a wood burning stove.
The drive averages 1 1/2 hours. Late night I get home in one hour.
If you or someone you know if ready to leave the city living for mountain living give me a call. Do not email. One of the downsides to living in the woods is lack of affordable and fast internet service. You can have internet if you need it in your life, but add on another 100-200 a month for your bills.
