Just wanted to let everyone know that the details for the fantastic new 500 hour Medical Qigong Anmo Therapy Asian Bodywork Program (what a mouthful) are now up on the school's site. If students want to be eligible to sit for the NCCAOM licensing exam, they must take most of the modules, but if they don't then they can take whichever modules they please. Wishing everyone a relaxing break!

Is it still possible to get a certificate through the school for the 200+ hour program (modules 3-7, basically)?

Hi Shane,
You can absolutely do less than 500 hours; most students will only do modules 3-7. I will likely issue a certificate for that level of completion to acknowledge the students' participation in the program.

Hi Suzanne,

I'm planning on taking the 500 hour Med Qigong.... I'm still a bit confused.
My understanding is that because I've had Theory and Anatomy I do not have to take modules 1and 2. But I would like the 500 hour certificate. Will I still receive a certificate at the end of the program stating that I have completed the entire 500 course??? Will I still be required to take Qigong levels 1-4 as part of my regular class schedule?

You are correct in that you don't need modules 1 & 2. You will also be able to be certified for the 500 hours because your classes at school count towards the program. No worries! And no, you don't have to take qigong as part of your regular class schedule. I am finalizing details regarding that issue with Benjamin tomorrow, so check with him to be sure after tomorrow.
